    The importance of collaboration in hospitality

    This summer, Chiller Box will celebrate 20 years in business and part of this success has been down to the partnerships and relationships we have built over the last two decades. Working with other businesses that we know well and can trust is really important, especially as we pride ourselves and are known for our high levels of customer service.

    With the allied partners we have formed over the years, we are able to support clients with all elements of a hospitality start-up, refurbishment, or business growth. From support in help finding the perfect venue to financing a project, from interior design to sourcing furniture, our network takes away worries during a project. We also regularly help these partners with their projects when they are looking for commercial kitchen design, catering equipment supply and installation as well as ventilation and air-conditioning systems.

    All our partners are independent small businesses like ours and there is a lot of synergy in the way we approach projects. If we recommend a business, we need to know they won’t let the client down as this reflects badly on us. Usually, we simply introduce the client to our partner and have the confidence they will support them with the relevant part of the project, however, sometimes it’s about us working together more closely. For example, we might look at a site with Dean Gambles to input on suitability from a design aspect or we will collaborate with Lifeforms on back of house and front of house designs so it’s a joined-up approach for the client.

    We maintain an ongoing relationship with these businesses via engagement on LinkedIn, informal meetings, supporting at trade shows and ongoing phone calls. Finding creative ways to connect and collaborate has helped drive business over the last 20 years. It’s great to have these businesses to talk to about the latest industry news and we use each other as a sounding board when required.
