Glass & Dishwashers
For busy pubs, bars, restaurants and commercial kitchens, dishwashers and glasswashers are indispensible pieces of catering equipment. They are generally referred to as ware washing equipment as different models are suitable for washing dishes, glasses, pots, pans or utensils. Combination dish and glasswashers offer different rinse cycles and temperatures to suit the load.
Glasswashers are more often used in pubs and bars where there is a higher volume of glassware and need for quick turnaround - they can accommodate racks and glasses of different heights. A high temperature and short wash cycle avoids damage to keep your glasses shiny as new.
Dishwashers are best suited to plates, dishes and other crockery - standard cycles will remove food residues at a medium temperature. Pot and utensil washers are generally twice the width of a standard dishwasher - best for heavily soiled pans and burnt on or hardened food, they usually have soak programmes to prewash and loosen stubborn residues.
Water softeners are recommended to avoid build up of limescale; some dishwashers have these built in.
