Vacuum Packers
Vacuum packing machines are used to draw all of the air out of a vacuum bag or container, thus slowing down the deterioration process so that you can store the product up to five times longer without using any chemicals.
There are two different types of vacuum packaging machine that you can find in the market; vacuum chamber machines operate by placing the entire bag or container in the machine, allowing more than one bag to be packed at a given time. External bag machines only require one end of the bag to be placed within the machine, removing the air and sealing the bag in one process. The latter is usually cheaper as the former is more suitable for large scale food packaging.
Although a vacuum packing machine requires minimal maintenance, it is important that you take care and clean it thoroughly each time you use it. For example, if you just finished packing raw meat and you plan to pack some ready-to-eat food such as soups or sauces next, you will definitely need to clean it first. Not doing so will allow the harmful bacteria from the raw meat to transfer to your ready-to-eat products.
Vacuum pack any leftover food that can be freezed and reused to reduce waste.
