Kitchen Blenders
Kitchen blenders are generally used for combining ingredients to make sauces or salad dressing, or to make fine purees, pastes, pates or soups.
A blixer (blender/mixer) can perform other functions like cutting and fine grating. They are quick and easy to use, and many professional chefs believe finely blending ingredients improves the flavour and colour of the food.
When possible, add liquids or softer ingredients before hard, solid ingredients to reduce the strain on the blades.
