Griddles are a flat heated plate constructed from cast iron or steel, used mainly for cooking meat. Most griddles have a smooth cooking surface but some have a ribbed plate to drain away grease and cooking fat.

Do not use water jets to clean the interior or exterior of the appliance as griddles are not waterproof.
